My microblading turned this grey blue color about 3 years after I got it done. I paid for two color corrections and it came back both times. I almost booked a third one when I found this pen. It took me maybe two mornings to get the technique down and now it takes 2 minutes with my coffee. My sister in law asked if I finally got my brows "redone professionally." I said no and she didn't believe me.

For anyone scared of the Black Brown, it looks dark in the pen but it applies way softer than it looks. Light little touches with just the tip, don't press, and build it up. It's cool toned which is exactly what cancels out the ashy grey from my old tattoo instead of mixing with it like every pencil I ever bought. And it washes off at night with my cleanser, so nothing new is going into my face ever again. That part was the whole point for me.

I plucked my eyebrows to death in the 90s like everyone else and they never grew back. 25 years of drawing them on with a pencil and they always looked drawn on, no matter how careful I was. This is the first thing that actually makes little separate hairs instead of a line. There's skin showing between the strokes, which sounds weird, but that's exactly why it reads as hair and not makeup. 2 minutes. I'm done buying pencils.

How do I apply InstaBrow so the strokes look like real hair?
Start with clean, dry skin. Hold the pen lightly and use the tips of the bristles with very little pressure. Make short upward strokes at the front, angle them through the arch, then use slightly longer outward strokes toward the tail. Let the marks dry before touching them.

InstaBrow does not remove or change old pigment. It places separate, surface-level hair strokes across the brow area, leaving tiny spaces between them. That pattern helps the eye notice individual hairs instead of one flat block of colour.
Why did my old pencils look muddy or purple over microblading?
A traditional pencil can leave a continuous layer of colour across a cool grey-blue base. InstaBrow's multi-bristle tip is designed to place separated strokes rather than one solid layer, which creates a different visual result.
Which shade should I choose?
Your best shade depends on your natural hair colour, undertone, the existing colour in your brows and whether you prefer a softer or more defined finish. Because every combination is different, compare the available shades in our complete InstaBrow shade palette before choosing.
I over-plucked in the 90s. Will it work where there is almost no hair?
Yes. InstaBrow is designed to place fine cosmetic strokes directly on clean, dry skin. Use lighter pressure than you would with a regular pencil and build the shape gradually, especially through a sparse tail.
Will it look like real hair—or like I drew on my face?
The natural effect comes from separate strokes, changing angles and small gaps of visible skin. Very light pressure matters: pressing too hard can turn several fine marks into one thick shape. The tutorial shows the exact movement.
Is InstaBrow a tattoo? Can it change colour over time?
No. InstaBrow is temporary brow makeup that remains on the surface of the skin and removes with your normal makeup remover or cleanser. No pigment is implanted beneath the skin.
Should I still get colour correction or laser removal?
InstaBrow is temporary makeup, not a treatment, so it can be used while you consider your options without changing the pigment beneath your skin. We cannot advise whether a cosmetic or medical procedure is right for you. If old pigment is raised, itchy, painful or reacting, speak with a qualified professional.
What if I choose the wrong shade or change my mind?

The flash photo thing is what got me. Mine look fine in my bathroom and then someone takes a picture at dinner and they're SLATE. Ordering the Black Brown color right now.
